Unable to enter hot and cold fluid pressure drop in DWSIM Version 6.4.3 .Is there any way by which we can do it? Kindly help
How to calculate passes per shell, tubes per shell for shell and tube heat exchanger?
I followed each and every step in this tutorial and i am getting error - " The temperature did not converge" , "The Flash Algorithm was unable to converge to a solution." , "Try another Property Package and/or Flash Algorithm"
Using DWSIM version 6.1, the cold and hot fluid pressure drop values cannot be entered like the tutorial did. Understanding the version update changes the method and calculation algorithms, the desired results as in the tutorial cannot be achieved. I observe altering the HEX properties alters the fluid pressure drop values both in tutorial and in my computation. But, still the results do not match even after sharing same properties.Although, The results I got had small changes in outlet temperature (+- 2 C), large difference in Heat Transfer Coefficient (+60W/[m2.K]). Good Afternooni am having a problem regarding the tutorial.When I opened the editor window for the Heat Exchanger element, as soon as i specified calculation type as Shell and tube heat exchanger rating ,the other boxes under it become frozen. Not able to specify cold and hot fluid pressure drops. Please help me out.also can you guys tell how did u get the values of fouling factor,thermal conductivity,roughness,tubes per shell,passes per shell and tube layout. I am not able to understand how to get this values as because its not given earlier in the problem statement.Hoping to hear from you soon.Regards.
Everytime I open and input a value (let's say 0.00035 Km2/W) it gets multiplied by 1000 as soon as I close it. This keeps repeating everytime the editor window is opened and closed.
