The team involved in this mission is highly vibrant and enthusiastic in taking the amount of energy involved in the planning stage to the execution stage. I could see beaming smile in the faces of all participants at Tamilnadu Polytechnic Colege,Madurai. The same information I heard from the different locations.
In India, students passing 10th are not in a position to afford the heavy cost of the higher education. Most of the students they work in their free time to earn to pay the college fees and other related fees. For them this initiative is really a blessing from heaven. I perceive this initiative in two dimensional perspectives. First to grow, the entire population of our country must be literate both in academic and as well in computer. This initiative addresses the computer literacy part of the national agenda in a scientific manner. This program will be definitely successful in terms of fulfilling its mission because it involves participatory approach.
Second it gives the solution for financial aspects of the huge cost involved in computer education. The team involved in this mission is highly vibrant and enthusiastic in taking the amount of energy involved in the planning stage to the execution stage. I could see beaming smile in the faces of all participants at Tamilnadu Polytechnic Colege,Madurai. The same information I heard from the different locations.
I hope under your able leadership this will pave a way for the economically independent Nation.

In the month of November, 2011, we started conducting FOSS (Free Open Source Software) courses from Spoken Tutorial, IIT Bombay. We started the courses namely Linux, LaTeX, Scilab, Python and PHP MySQL. Initially only the hostel students responded to do the course after the college hours. We started more batches and more students got benefited by the above said courses. We have conducted FOSS workshops to the government school students and they learned the software enthusiastically.
Now we have been appreciated and recognized by Spoken Tutorial IITB, we are given Resource Center - 3 Star status which is an honour to our institutions. As a result of all these efforts leading to a commendable progress, we have planned to start a community for FOSS in our institutions. We have planned to start PAAVAI-FOSS in our institutions.
